I wanted to send a Thank You note for the great time that my self, my wife & Bella had over the weekend. You ran a very good program & I look forward to being able to take more lessons from you. Please keep me posted of your schedule. I enjoyed meeting everyone, they all seem to be very nice people.
Thank You again for opening-up your home to us.Sincerely,
Well, all Carla and I can say is WOW!!!!
What a great weekend we had out at your farm. Thank you for the excellent instruction and information. Not only were our dogs enriched, but our lives we enriched also. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Carla and I felt comfortable learning in the environment you created. You have a beautiful farm and home, wonderful Border Collies, and a very amazing style of teaching. Again, all we can say is WOW!!! What an amazing weekend!!!!
We are very interested in setting up an appointment for some private lessons. We will be contacting you very soon to set up an appointment to come back out to Dancing Hearts.
We can’t say THANK YOU enough for everything that you did this weekend!!!! Our dogs and us will never be the same!!!! AWESOME!!!! ”
I just wanted to let you know how Jasper and I did this weekend. We competed in NADAC and did 2 Regular runs and did a Weavers run. He did great!
He hit the first set of 12 in the first Regular. In the second, he missed the entrance, I did what we talked about. Stayed positive and he did them correct the 2nd time. You can see on the video that he even looks at me after he did them to say “hey, I did them, now tell how good I am”.
On the weavers, he came flying off the start line and through the first two tunnels and couldn’t quite collect himself to hit the entrance. We retried and he did them and then nailed the other two sets on the course. He took first place in the 20″ Division.
Thanks so much for your help!”
I just have to say thank you for such a wonderful time today! You are a GREAT teacher! Your students are very lucky! The “kids” had so much fun today, and yes they are still napping because afterwards they had a playdate at the park with some pup friends.
I am definitely going to sign Amelia, the smaller bouncy one ;), up for lessons since she seemed to enjoy it so much and I ordered the Talking Sheepdogs book so I can have a bit more of an understanding.”
Again, thanks for a wonderful day.
Aubrey, Lindbergh, and Amelia
I just wanted to drop a quick note to tell you I had a wonderful time this past weekend learning the art of herding. I learned so much and to watch Zoey engage with the sheep brought such joy to my heart.
I like the way you have everything broken down and are able work that portion before you move on to the next building block. You explained the concepts so it was very easy to understand. I look forward to continuing this relationship with Zoey and can’t thank you enough for giving us the opportunity to get a glimpse and feel of something wonderful.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge and your love of animals with us.”
Cindy & Zoey
It’s taken a bit of time to be able to even begin to put my thoughts into words…
I want to thank you very much for the class on Saturday. Our family, humans and animals alike, have been going through some difficult transitions and our day at your sheepdog camp was a blessing in so many ways.
Besides being outdoors in a beautiful, well laid out setting on a near perfect spring day in the company of others ready to accept, learn & grow under your thoughtful guidance, there was this wonderful basic feeling of being grounded and connected… to my dog, Terry, to the people there and to all of the living beings around me and the earth itself.
Learning about, watching, then practicing the art of herding together with Terry was an experience that has definitely caused a shift in our relationship. Just over the past couple of days we have discovered several every day around the house jobs that we make a very good team at. My favorite is working with the other pup in our house a 1 year old min-pin/chihuahua kind of mix with a big attitude we rescued from the pound.
With this new perspective, I’m suddenly seeing that beyond modeling good behavior Terry is actually quite good at knowing what his little brother should be doing & keeping him in line when he’s not. All it took was me to see things that way then to see my role can be to guide him then give him the freedom to get the job done. We are now working together towards calm & peaceful behavior from all of us instead of bickering about whose idea is better. =)
This has been a Huge shift from where we’d been headed, with me frustrated with him being frustrated about wanting to be Working. I understand it is a process and not an event. I now feel quite hopeful & positive about what comes next.
Luis also definitely got a lot out of the day & has related lots of information & positivity from the experience to the rest of the family.
Cindy made quite an impression on my son Luis, too, with her impeccable timing at drawing him in at key moments throughout the day and working with him to find him a job he Loved, playing with her dogs. If you wouldn’t mind passing along our thank yous, I’d appreciate it.
Well wishes and I hope to come to another workshop or lesson with you sometime not too long from now!”

I had three friends come to the Herding Intro day this past weekend they all had a great time! I’ve heard from all of them and they loved it!
Two of them have had bad experiences in herding in the past and had given up on it. They are both agility trainers and really appreciated your explanation in the beginning – said it helped them a lot when they got in there.
All three said it was very interesting to see the difference in dog/handler from the first time in the pen to the second and thought it was great to have the two turns.
They also said it was such a wonderful experience on stock they’ll never do it another way 🙂 ”
Hi there Kathy,
My name is Krissi Goetz and I just wanted to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! I am grateful and excited beyond words.
For years I have been searching for a method to train herding dogs, but have been continually dismayed by the forceful, intimidating, setting the dog up to fail tactics used by trainer after trainer. None of it sat right as I believe in reward based, gentle tactics to teach dogs. But I couldn’t seem to find a stockdog trainer who was using those kind of methods.
And so, I started and gave up herding many times with my dogs over the years. Thanks to Cheryl’s post on the apdt yahoo group this past winter, I heard about your herding seminar online.
I just completed Part 2 and I am just overjoyed at finding your course!!!!! The philosophy you espouse and the methods you employ sit right and make sense to me (and to my dogs!). Your explanations and coverage of stock basics are also the most thorough and clear that I have ever heard.
All in all it, yours is a top notch class and I have already recommended it to everyone I know who has ever expressed an interest in working with their dog on stock. So again, thank you!
I’m so excited I have even considered coming to your sheep camp – all the way from eastern Idaho!! Curious to know if you ever travel and hold clinics off your farm, or if you know of folks who use tactics like yours who might be a little bit closer to this part of the country?
Thank you again for putting your methods out there in such an excellent format. We are finally progressing bit by bit and finally, we are all having a good time while at it!!! ”
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the generous giving of your time and expertise today and for so many days in getting us our great dog and training us on how to work with her. You have always given way more than I expected. I really appreciate all you have done for us.
I know we are just getting started in our training and I am looking forward to many more sessions with you in our learning process. Don’t give up on us beginners! We may be slow but we keep at it and we listen to everything you tell us, although it may take us some home practice before we really lock it in the old noggins.
You are very good at what you do, and I’m so pleased I found your website and began our association.
Many thanks for all you have done, your patience, your kindness and your knowledge.
We appreciate it so much!”
I have been meaning to tell you about a conversation I had with Derek Scrimgeour after you guys left. We were just chatting while Catherine was out working and he asked if I knew you. I said yes and that I train with you when I can.
He got all teary eyed and said he thought you were among the best if not THE best trainer he had ever seen in America. WOW! He went on to say that you are a calm, consistent, loving trainer and really enjoy the work. He was very impressed with what you were able to do with your dogs and how you approached it “exactly they way I would do it.” I think he enjoys good work and he really loves his dogs and appreciates when he sees that in people. Sweet man.
Hoping I can get down to your place soon for a lesson.”
We had an awesome time yesterday at the introductory sheep herding class. My dogs amazed me and you and Nancy were wonderful instructors as usual.
It is always so peaceful and heart-warming to just step foot on your property. Can’t wait until we get to come again 🙂 ”
— Susan, Target, and Abap
(and Scott too)
I was looking for a different herding instructor, since I was no longer enjoying my lessons.”
“Kathy, I had no obstacles in coming to you for herding lessons right from the start — my friend had enjoyed her lessons with you, and I was looking for a different instructor, since I was not enjoying my lessons with my previous herding instructor.
I was very pleased with your instruction, right from the beginning. Lessons were not constant yelling sessions!
I like your positive approach to teaching. I felt humiliated after my lessons with my old instructor. Over the course of 3 years, my confidence in my ability to work with my dogs was gradually eroded. My dogs sensed that, and gradually became more and more stressed as well. Herding lessons were something that I came to almost dread each week.
You were always able to find something, however tiny, that I or my dog did correctly!
I feel that I have grown in my relationship with my dogs. I have also become much more aware of my body language and how it influences my dog. I feel that with Lizzy, I am finally approaching something like real teamwork in herding – something that I have never felt before.
I would absolutely recommend you, and I have! I feel confident that you are an effective, compassionate trainer with a proven track record.”
Initially I was concerned if I was biting off more than Simmer and I could chew given his young age and my inexperience. I wasn’t sure if two days of herding camp would be too much for either of us. Your reply to my email about my concerns provided all the reassurance that I needed.
Oh Kathy, this was so well worth it. I told my friends at work on Monday that I felt like I was on a retreat for the weekend and that I now needed a bumper sticker that read, “I’d rather be sheepherding!”
It was well worth it at a lot of different levels. I did not imagine I would learn so much about the critical elements of sheepherding. I especially loved the way you explained the “why” of things and drew analogies between sheepherding and other aspects of our lives. You challenged us to reflect on our experience and to set goals – things people don’t often do without some prompting but really makes a difference in the rate of progress. And, of course, I loved the time in the pen with my dog and just starting our journey together in this new adventure. The individual attention we received was perfect – you knew when to push and you knew when we’d had enough (mmm? isn’t that like knowing how to apply and release pressure when on the sheep! :))
Watching the other teams was amazing and brought much of what you were trying to teach us to life. I actually think it worked wonderfully to have people at such different stages in their training because it allowed me to see the progression in skills. Everyone was friendly and willing to share and always encouraging to others.
You took the time to give every participant a chance to share a little about themselves and what brought them to the clinic. You did the same when asking people what they were proud of, or what they wanted to focus on the next time in the pen. Most importantly, you didn’t just take the time to ask, it was apparent to me that you also took the time to listen to their answers as revealed in your responses. Your comments were often characterized by wisdom, insight, and caring. The ability to listen is a rare gift.
I already have recommended you to a colleague with a sheltie and a dog park friend with an aussie! I want other people to be able to share this positive experience.”
Thank you so much!
When I first started it seemed like a long way to drive for lessons, Now that I am more plugged into the herding community I realize part of this sport is driving.
I feel you have an excellent ability to analyze problems and find solutions that work for a particular dog. I like how you respect these dogs for the amazing creatures they are.
The thing that I like most about my herding lessons with you is that you always have a positive approach to training the dog.
I have learned how to read the dog better from you. Also, probably just as important, I have learned how to read myself and how I influence the behavior of my dogs.
Before I started working with you others had told me Lucy was worthless and would never be a decent herding dog. From our first lesson you laughed at that notion and showed me how much potential she really has. If it wasn’t for that I might have given up on her. After watching her yesterday in awe at how gracefully she handled a bolting sheep I realize how much I would have missed out on if it wasn’t for you and your positive approach.
Yes! I would recommend you to all my herding friends. Having been to sooo many clinics I realize there are numerous ways to train your dog. I have also learned there is no shortage of amazing handlers that can get your dogs to do amazing things. However not many of these great handlers have the ability to transfer their knowledge to you. I feel you have the unique ability to understand people and their dogs and transfer your knowledge to them.”
Your location gave me pause. It’s 2 hours from me.
It is absolutely worth it. I honestly don’t think I would have even continued with herding if it had not been for your support and belief in me and my dog. It means a lot to have some one who thinks you can do it 🙂
I appreciate your calm loving approach, plus the fact that you are totally focusing on me and my dog. You are not trying to do anything else (having people arrive, talking to them, on the phone – yes other trainers do all these things.)
You are a calm, loving trainer and can approach things from the “journey” perspective. Not just “here is what you need to learn today”. You know that I want to continue with this so are not focusing on short term fixes but long term successes.
You give me some hard lessons to face and the skills to confidently work through them. You point out the talent/good things in my dog. Sometimes hard to see when we are so focused on what WE are learning. You are patient with my lack of understanding…
I would recommend your Connected Herding program…I do all the time. Your approach is just what so many people need in order to experience this awesome “sport.” I really like the frequent options of the camps, fun days and intro days. I can’t always make them, but love it when I can. These types of herding events are not offered much in our area.
I hope you already know this, but you have made such a difference in my life and the lives of my dogs – hard to put into words. I am blessed that we have crossed paths and cherish the relationship we have developed. I cannot believe the things I have learned and I hear your voice often in my head giving me the encouragement to forge ahead.
Thanks for being who you are! I love you!”
I didn’t have any obstacles in deciding to attend your herding camp. SIGN ME UP!!
I found out early on (before the camp) that I was very comfortable with you and especially your methods.
I was able to “connect ” with you and in turn my dog and I connected more because I had a better understanding of what the end goal was. (how to shape, direct and recognize things in the dogs behavior that need to be addressed)
I also discovered that most negative behavior was nothing more that a reaction to the action (MY ACTION!!)”
Thank you again!
I just wanted to express thanks for the herding clinic last week. The handler learned much more than the dog!
Once again, thanks for the clinic. To me it was world class.”
I would like to send you an extra special Thank You for such a nice time at your farm this weekend! Cutter and I both learned a lot, found new direction and can you believe it, we actually ARE more connected! I didn’t think we could be more connected! Truly a surprise for me!
Kathy, you truly are a gifted and gentle person.”
From our hearts,
Lynn and Cutter
“Thanks Kathy–YOU are a pleasure to work with!
Emma is already so much more calm and happy. Thanks for all the encouragement. We can’t wait for our next lesson!
“Kathy…You are very patient with the handlers, especially when we make mistakes, sometimes the same mistakes.
You really understand each individual dog and how they may work best. You know how to bring the best out of the dogs.
I would recommend your services to anyone and very highly.”
— Theresa U.
“I would like to thank Kathy for her great insight and thoughtful approach in herding training with my sheltie. We are really starting to work as a team and learn so much in every lesson.
I look forward to continuing my lessons with Kathy and recommend her for herding with any breed! She has a very special outlook to share.”
— Penny Brcich & “Hannah”
“Thanks for the suggestions about leash pulling. Not using the pinch collar, and using the leash ‘pulsing’, I find that the real drag-you-along pulling has stopped with just that.
He is still out in front at the end of the leash, which is fine, I don’t require a heel alongside me on walks; but having to constantly re-balance himself doesn’t allow him to really get his body into a sustained plunge.
And you’re right, this requires me to pay way more attention while walking. The positive side of that: a shorter walk on which we are both paying attention does as much to tire him (and maybe more) as a long walk on which we’re both pulling on the leash. 🙂 ”
“Kathy, You’re amazing!
You are a wealth of knowledge, and your approach to training is inspiring. I wish I could devise some small space craft or something… that could enter your mind (and heart), and spend a few weeks exploring. I could learn sooooooo much. I’ve learned a great deal already.
On another note… Rina and I are blessed to have gotten to know you. I don’t know what her future holds, but whatever it is… you have made an imprint in her life. You have touched her heart… I can see it in her eyes. And, you have definitely touched my heart by your kindness and willingness to work with us. The leash walking is incredible!!”
Thanks again… so much.
“Kathy, I just wanted to thank you….. your way of training just feels so much better!!
I think Paddington likes it alot, too. I felt like he and I were getting into a power struggle and making the relationship worse – and that I didn’t like!!
So, thank you. I will be practicing. And would like to set another appointment…. Thanks again.”
— Char S.
“Kathy introduced me to her methods when I was most discouraged with other trainers.
Our sessions were instructive, positive & valuable. Kathy’s ability is amazing-she is gifted with a rare intuition and open-hearted approach.
Not only is my dog well-behaved, he is more fun!”
— Mary E.
“I was delighted at Kathy’s heart-centered approach to business. A great opportunity to delve into your life and business in a holistic way. I resonate with her approach and am excited about what I learned!
~ Harmony Harrison
Thank you so much for the coaching and training. Again and again, I find myself going back to your exercises and ideas. I will be developing my business step by step from the core of my heart because of what you taught me.
Here’s a testimonial. Feel free to use it in your marketing, and the other sentences in this email, too!
Kathy’s classes and coaching helped me bring my heart and spirit into my work. With her insight and intuition, she guided me to understand my heart’s desire and develop a long-term plan for expressing it through my business. She was able to see deeply into my heart to help me understand and begin to realize my dreams. I recommend Kathy’s coaching and classes to anyone who wants to bring their vision to life.”
I have great news. I will be talking for a 1 hr. time slot at South Suburban College on Reiki and Flower Essences at their Women’s Business Expo. I really can see my vision coming together now.
I just wanted to thank you again for that wonderful class on Visioning and Strategy. It was that class that took my vision and propelled it forward.
Thanks for all your help.”
“Kathy was my instructor for the BM120 and 220 courses, which helped me to build a foundation to create a business to serve animals and their human companions. After a phone consultation with Kathy related to the courses, I was feeling inspired and overwhelmed. I had not shared with her my unemployment status and my Dad’s cancer diagnosis.
While enjoying the company of a relative’s dog companion, I heard the dog say, “Talk to Kathy.” To be honest, it took me a couple of days to schedule the appointment. During the session, Kathy assisted me to reconnect with my Spirit. Afterwards, I felt Uplifted, and I don’t remember the last time I felt that way.
Two days after the appointment, I was made aware of two positions that were perfect for me. Two weeks later, I was contacted to be a speaker for the Animal Communicator Forum (ACF). And three weeks later, I had created a website and business card that Kathy reviewed.
Kathy has been a wonderful instructor and mentor to me. I HIGHLY recommend her, and I look forward to working with her in the future!!!”
“Stellar! Thank you!
To me it is AMAZING the things that have happened since the beginning of class… a real validation for the law of attraction and Kathy’s EXCELLENT style. Fantastic class.”
— Carolyn B.
“This class has really gotten me moving forward in the way that I need to be.
I was really unfocused in what I wanted to do. I know I have a long way to go, but this class really helped me to get back on track.”
L.K., New York
“Kathy’s classes on the art of visioning for healing arts professionals is unlike any other you will experience!
What a blessing to finally find an intuitive teacher with her feet planted firmly on the ground. This was the perfect combination of visioning AND practical and effective ways to implement our new plans!”
— Liz, Hawaii
Stella and I had a great Invitational. She had 4 clean runs and we ended up as the #16 12 inch dog. I am so proud of my little partner. She had a little bit of problems on the teeter. I think it was much lighter than she is used to so she stopped a little early and waited for the tip but her dog walk was fast and she hit all of her contacts.
Thank you so much for talking to her before we left. I will be in touch next week to set up a meeting….I also want you to talk to my other partner Harriet.
Thanks again for all the help!! You helped us get here!!!!”
“I so enjoyed talking with you today, Kathy! You have a wonderful gift!
I feel better prepared for the journey that Patches, Bailey and I are on. After you left, we all took a nap…I think I needed it most! Upon waking I felt a peacefulness that I have not felt for some time. Actually, I think all three of us are more relaxed and calm. Patches ate well and after Bailey finished, he was content to sit and watch Patches eat…no grumbling or whining!
I feel confident that we will now be able to handle what the future brings.
Thanks again for your help!”
I absolutely loved your TTouch presentation tonight. Thank you so much for coming to the shelter. I learned so much!
I came home and practiced on my foster dog, a Chihuahua with allergies. She began to close her eyes. She did not like her paws touched, so I went to other spots and kept coming back to her paws. We ended with her allowing me to touch the top of her paws without withdrawing them. It was so cool.
There will be so many applications for TTouch at the shelter. I wish more people could have come to learn this.
Take good care and you’ll be hearing from me soon.”
I just wanted to report back regarding Karma’s progress after our latest session …
First, I worked on making the car quieter and he seemed to notice the changes right away. He has also been better about getting into the car and even once during the specialty asked to go back into it – huge progress!!
Our week in Wisconsin went REALLY well!! He was a superb traveler and performed great in some really lousy weather (the agility trial was held outside in 43 degree weather while raining with 25-30 mph winds!). He qualified in agility and was a star in Rally (I think he let me do the reading this time – ha!). We also managed to qualify in carting which meant 2 new titles for him. Qualifying in these three venues made us one of the 13 “Tri-Athletes” which was great fun.
All in all it was a great week! Thanks again for your help :)”

Just wanted to share this with you and Thank You again.
“So after thinking about what you said about Eme, I have started to look at time together as just that and not “training sessions”. We play in the back yard still doing recalls and head turns and attention etc but it’s more play and not “I have to go train this with her right now”. I guess in my thinking to not have some of the less desirable behaviors that Gina has I forgot to have fun with Little E. I have loosened up on some things and figured the more confident and happy she is we can work back to getting more accurate things or asking her for things. I’m not letting her misbehave, just giving her a little more freedom to decide things.
So last night was a big eye opener. Normally when we go for a walk it’s a big ordeal…the right treats, the clicker, the worry about what she is worrying about, the stay right next to me etc… Last night my husband and I took the girls for a ride with us to get ice cream. On the way back on the spur of the moment I just pulled into a parking spot on our town square unloaded the girls and walked. No clicker, no expectations, no nagging about position and just a little bit of a hamburger patty for treats. For 3/4 of the way around the square I ate my ice cream and was just there for her and let her be. She isn’t a puller so I pretty much let her do what she wanted. Guess what? She was very calm and just checked everything out. She smelled door stoops, flower pots, benches, buildings, stopped and air sniffed Chinese food. She walked past people without trying to maul them. When we stopped at street corners she gave me attention and she was checking in with me the rest of the time. this time I didn’t worry
about the noises and they didn’t seem to bother her even though it was the tail end of “cars on the square” night and some rather noisey ones. We got an ears waaay back on an extremely loud motorcycle but no scooting or jumping away from it. So then we stopped in a little sitting area where her and Gina happily played on the boulders and she came over and looked for and ate some of the hamburger like she was enjoying it rather than taking it trying to figure out why she had to take it.
I guess what I’m trying to say is because of your help, I’m finally seeing Eme. Not “Eme who has to learn this and be this and do this” but just Eme a sweet, smart and even without my help confident little girl. It even felt like she got back into the car happy and not exhausted from the big ordeals we usually have.
I can’t thank you enough for opening that door for us.It’s kind of like a rebirth for us and I look forward to getting to know my “new” baby dog instead of trying to make her into something.
Thanks and have a good weekend.”
I am so proud of Brinks, this past Sunday I took him to a club meeting held at a busy Forest Preserve. He did really well. The club held a CGC and Therapy Dog test. He actually passed. It was under a pavillion and he was very relaxed. The tester even wrote that he was a friendly dog that really wanted to please. This brought tears to my eyes. He actually wagged his tail for everyone he met, which has been unheard of.
Thanks so much, I attribute his improvement to you and your techniques. You have really helped both of us.”

I just wanted to tell you that Heidi & I had a great time Monday night at our lesson. I’ve been working with her on her name and attention and she is already so much better!
She’s even come running in the house from outside when I call her!!! Our walks have been much better too, not as much pulling and she’s looking up at me alot more.
Thanks!! You’re Awesome!!!”
I have been meaning to write for some time. I wanted to give you an update on Ivy. She is doing extremely well! She is doing much better around other dogs and has visited our local dog park on several occasions.
Her confidence level is getting stronger and her reactive time is very short when it happens. We get many comments from people wondering if she is the same dog!
Thank you for the lesson in TTouch. What a difference it has made!”
“Ricky is more confident and more bonded to me. Kathy was very good at reading Ricky and he responded well and enjoyed the sessions.
I enjoyed the fact that she showed me how to work with him on my own and she was so patient and kind.”
— Karen S.
“Kathy’s holistic methods have given me a new approach to training and sharing my life with animals and nature.
Kathy is a gifted teacher and a true ambassador for patience and respect.”
— Nancy F.
“Hi Kathy, thanks so much for this well-timed email. So many things in here hit home with me and I needed the jump start to get going 🙂 I started reading your e-book and realized that I need to set aside time to read it straight through 🙂 So far, the part that I find fascinating is your recount of your relationship with Phoenix. I’m excited to read more of the book and work through the exercises.
Thank you so much for being such an inspirational part of my life.”
Your Animals as Healers class was very insightful!
Made me realize even more clearly how I choose my relationships, the people and animals in my life, and how I can learn from them. I loved the exercises.
Excellent tools for learning and discovering!
~ Jennifer M.
Thank you so much for the Co-creation Workshop today. I have to admit that I lost my way in 2008. I hope I didn’t bring too much negative energy today.
I am so grateful for you helping me to recognize all the good things that happened for me in the past year. I came away with all good energy. I know that 2009 will be different.
I hope to see more of you in the upcoming year.
I just had to send you a little note to let you know how much your feedback and encouragement means to me! At the age of 47, I’ve been going through a very difficult time of late, wondering what on earth I’ve “done” with my life so far, and feeling quite lost in this huge puzzle we call life;-).
Your kind words of encouragement simply blew me out of the water, Kathy! What an inspiration to continue the journey, and BELIEVE that I CAN!
So thank you again, not only for the inspiring comments, but for the extraordinary course that led to them! I certainly hope we’ll connect again in the future…”
“I am attaching the fieldwork for both parts of the Animals As Healers course. Thank you and Kathy SO much for offering this wonderful little course as part of the AC curriculum, and particularly that it is required.
It’s given animal communication (and life!) a whole new dimension.”
“Kathy definitely knows what she’s teaching. If you have a dream you want to start making into a reality, Kathy’s class is a wonderful starting point.”
— Terra K.
“This has been amazing. This has actually been fantastic.
I think I learned more in an hour and a half about myself and making a plan intuitively and a vision, than all the many weeks in another class I’ve been taking. This has really really been great.
I just want to say thank you so much, you really do amazing work, and I’d like to take more of your classes.”
— Tom B., Illinois
“A wonderful experience!
Kathy uses her intuitive gifts to guide you down an enlightening path. She will provide expert guidance in crafting, refining and articulating your life’s vision. What power in setting your intention and re-connecting with that vision regularly!
You will have an incredible time, and by the end of your work together you will be amazed at what you’ve accomplished. You will find your dream will be within reach. And…be prepared for magic to happen along the way!”
— Carolyn, Illinois
I am 71 years old, just lost my dog this summer. She died in my arms. I found your website and am so very happy I did. I don’t drive so most likely will never be able to get out there but had to write and tell you that people like you make a difference in the world. You have gotten me through some difficult periods in my life this last year by sharing your philosophy and you didn’t even know you were helping.
much love and many blessings,
Thank you again for your insight and advice regarding Winnie and me. I was just thinking about you last night. I wasn’t home yesterday, early evening and the rest of the family was. They reported to me that Winnie was mellow even though there had been a couple of claps of thunder and pouring rain! I was about five minutes from home, I saw the lightening and I sent energy to Winnie that everything is ok and I know thunder makes her nervous and that’s ok. I told the family that what ever we did the day before with you, is working and they are all surprised how quickly they are seeing results.
She has been taking the flower essence twice a day and I am taking it once a day.
I have a safe place built for her in the living room and showed it to her getting in there myself. She hasn’t wanted to use it yet, probably because she hasn’t needed it. This morning it has been raining and she is sleeping.
Again, thank you for your guidance. Have a wonderful day!”
“Hi Kathy, I just want to thank you for the wonderful reading I received from you recently with True…it has added depth to my relationship with him and he has had successful show outings this past two weekends. True took Winners Dog and back to back Reserve Winners Dog since speaking with you.
I thought I would share my joy with you and thank you for the more than helpful phone consultation. True will be handled at the Collie Club of America National show in LaCrosse, WI in March…. my dream has come ‘True’ of his being entered and competitive at the National. After the National, True and I look forward to finding our way back to joining your shepherds for herding classes.
Thank you for being there to contribute to my personal, spiritual growth and especially to my blossoming connection with my collie.”
With Joy & Gratitude!

“Kathy, it is difficult to put into words the wonderful experiences I’ve had with you at Dancing Hearts but here is a sampling that I hope you can use as a testimonial:
‘Kathy’s unique blend of practical knowledge and hands on exercises makes her Holistic Animal program a must for anyone wanting to further their skills in this area. The experiences I’ve gained in this program have given me the confidence to expand my professional offerings to include many new methods.’
And, I have some new opportunities that have recently come my way. I can’t wait to share with you.”
“In the many years that I have been in this field, I have come across a variety of people in many different holistic modalites. In networking, we need to know that the person we are recommending is someone who will continue to work with the highest of standards, which is necessary in this field.
I have found Kathy Kawalec to be an outstanding leader in this regard. She is compassionate and yet firm, caring and yet is still able to keep a broad perspective on the situation for both people and animals.
It is a great honor for me to be associated with her and I look forward to working with her in the many years to come as part of an “angelic lead team” to bring respect, love and trust to this world.”

“Thank you for offering so many helpful and wonderful services to assist animals and their people!
Since meeting through Tellington Touch years ago, I have always admired your connection with animals beyond the physical level. The depth of respect and trust, and just “knowing” how to respond and work with them so both the animal and their person can experience so much more together in their relationship is truly a gift.
Thank you for being both warm and professional with the many clients that I have referred to you over the years. Your presence alone provides healing on many levels, and the atmosphere of Dancing Hearts is such a wonderful way for clients and students to connect with nature and their animal companions, and sense spirit surrounding us for guidance.
Many blessings on your path and continued work!”

Thank you so much for the healing on Mike. Today he suddenly walked up and hugged me. He hasn’t been feeling well and hasn’t done this in many months…he seems more peaceful also. Thank you again.”
“…if you ever want an endorsement for your flower remedies, Eamon and I can give you one.
I have been giving him the Training one when we go to agility class, and I used the Performance one this weekend when were at UKC agility trials. We needed ten points in AGII on Saturday for Eamon to get his UACH title. It was a double trial so he had two AGII runs that day. On his first run he got a 200 and the ten ACH points.
The place erupted and they MADE me run Eamon in a victory lap. Eamon also knows that my math skills are not that good, so on his next AGII run, he ran clean again got us ten more ACH points. 🙂
We have never done that well at a trial before. I am so proud of my Eamon friend!!!! I’m guessing it was due to your flower essences. 🙂 ”

Zoe has shown remarkable improvement with your Flower Essence mixture. I would like to request another bottle. We aren’t quite out, but we will be soon.
What you have given us seems to be exactly what she needs for the time being. She has been extremely stressed and on “high alert” for about nine years and it will probably take her a long time to fully unwind.
Thank you for your help.”

“Kathy, I thought I would give you a heads up.
It seems like everytime I go to a show (McCormick Show this time) someone needs the Essential oil Stress & Anxiety. This time I gave some to Nancy who owns a training facility in Schiller Park and she was totally amazed by how well it did with her mini pin.
And, Abby won 1st place in Ex Standard today and got her AKC Rally title!! ”
